Legislator defends impeachment and trial of Blagojevich

Woodstock legislator State Rep. Jack Franks defends the impeachment and the Senate trial of Gov. Rod Blagojevich, and insists that Blagojevich is lying when he says his rights will not be respected durign the trial.

But Franks, who helped draft the original impeachment legislation to remove Blagojevich before the US Attorney Paterick Fitzgerald arrested and charge the governor with crimes, says he wonders why the legislature failed act before.
